Parent School Organizations

Hillview Crest has four wonderful and different parent-school organizations. Please join one or all of our organizations to get involved and to help shape our programs and policies at Hillview Crest!

English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The ELAC is a group of parents and staff members who meet to review data, discuss issues and establish our site plans for the education of students who are English language learners.

Parent Teacher Club (PTC)

The Parent Teacher Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds for Hillview Crest Elementary and to create opportunities and events that support student learning, parent involvement and community engagement with and within the school. Our PTC has helped with distribution, our Trunk or Treat event, and is hoping to continue to support other school wide spirit events.

All PTC meetings will be held every second Wednesday of the month at 5:00pm via Zoom. To join or volunteer, please contact Cecilia Flores, PTC President, hvcptccouncil@gmail.com to be a regular member.

School Site Council (SSC)

The School Site Council is a body of staff members, elected parent members and other non-voting/non-elected members who review, shape and ultimately approve the school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement and the use of our federal Title 1 funds. This body also serves as our Site Safety Committee who reviews site safety data and helps shape our Comprehensive School Safety Plan. Finally this body also serves as our site Equity Council responsible for honoring our Board’s policy on equity (Board Policy 00415), with two representatives from Hillview who attend the district Equity Council Meetings. It meets the third Wednesday of every month.
